Three-phase transformation: ATS, Salesforce integration, and an APM framework that's still running

The situation

Three distinct problems, tackled in sequence, each one building on the last.

Arden University needed to modernise how they managed applicant tracking, how their systems talked to each other, and how performance was reported across the organisation. None of these were small changes. Each one had its own complexity, its own stakeholders, and its own dependencies on what came before.

The engagement ran across three phases. A SITS ATS implementation first, then a Salesforce integration that connected the recruitment function to the wider CRM environment, then an APM framework in Power BI that gave leadership a consistent view of performance across the institution.

Phase one

SITS ATS implementation: getting applicant tracking working the way the recruitment team actually needed it to.

Led the business analysis and delivery coordination for the SITS ATS implementation, working across the recruitment team and the system supplier to define requirements, manage configuration decisions, and keep the project moving through the points where it could easily have stalled.

The implementation gave Arden a structured, consistent process for managing applicants from initial enquiry through to enrolment, replacing a patchwork of manual steps that had built up over time.

Phase two

Salesforce integration: connecting recruitment into the wider CRM environment.

The ATS implementation surfaced a clear next need: the recruitment data sitting in SITS needed to flow into Salesforce, where the broader student relationship management work was happening. Without that connection, teams were duplicating effort and working from different versions of the same information.

Defined the integration requirements, worked through the data mapping with the technical team, and managed the delivery through to a live connection that gave both systems a consistent view of applicant and student records.

Phase three

APM framework in Power BI: giving leadership a consistent view of performance across the institution.

With cleaner data flowing through connected systems, the conditions existed to build something useful for reporting. Designed and delivered an Application Performance Management framework in Power BI, structured around the metrics leadership actually needed to track rather than whatever the systems happened to export by default.

The framework brought together data from across the recruitment and CRM environment into a single reporting layer, giving Arden consistent, comparable performance data for the first time.

The outcome

A joined-up system, live integrations, and a reporting foundation that's still in use.

All three phases delivered. SITS ATS in production, Salesforce integration live, Power BI framework operational and in active use by the leadership team. What started as three separate problems became one coherent infrastructure.

The foundation built across this engagement gave Arden University a connected recruitment and performance reporting environment that didn't exist before, and one that continued to operate well after the engagement ended.
